Skill Level*: 2 (easy dive location just be prepaired for low vis and cold)

Description:

Items of interest / lore: Platform at 39′, snowmobile at 69′ , sunken boats with guest, typewriter and more.  Challenges:  This was an old quarry and the bottom has very fine silt left over from the mining. Vis can be very low. The lake doesn’t warm up much even in the summer months.

Access: Public Access Boat Ramp

    Sunset Beach Dive by dwmack on June 14th, 2010
    Todays dive was at "Sunset Beach" behind the "Board of Trade" in Paw Paw Lake, Watervliet.

    [caption id="attachment_2445" align="aligncenter" width="524" caption="Another day on the Saint Joseph river with Ken (8-18-11)"][/caption] Ok so what do you do on a prefect  summer day in August!  Go diving of course!  So it was back to the river that runs thru Berrien Springs, a side trip  back to Mystery Island" to retake some pictures of neat stuff, then in the river for 6 great hours just grubbing.

    [caption id="attachment_2523" align="aligncenter" width="605" caption="MB's finds of the day (2011-09-01)"][/caption]  Its Thursday, Its sunny,  Its damn HOT, the river is cool, there is very little current , the visibility is GREAT so you decide "let's get wet!"     Today was MB's first river dive since getting certified and she could not have picked a better day for here first river dive & grubbing lesson.
