Paw Paw Lake (Big)-Coloma/Watervliet,MI

Paw Paw Lake ~900 acres – deepest spot ~90 feet mid lake – considerable weeds in the summer.  Boat launch on Coloma  and Watervliet sides.  Lots of boat traffic in the summer so you use a dive flag.  There are 2 public beaches &  piers noted below.

Sun Set Park Beach & Pier.

Exit I-94 and drive into down town Watervliet. Continue down North Main Street  (also 140) leaving town and getting near the airport. Turn Left on North Watervliet Road and continue till you see the Board of Trade.  Turn left on Lake Ave . Note the parking area and path (fire lane) to Sun Set Beach & Pier.

Front Beach Park & Pier.

Exit I-94 and drive into down town Watervliet. Continue down North Main Street  (also 140) leaving town and getting near the airport. Turn Left on North Watervliet Road then turn Left unto Forrest Beach Road and continue until you turn left on Lake Ave . Note the parking area for Front Beach Park.

Front Beach Park at Shore Lane                     On Front Beach Park (Pier)
& Pier Street                                                            lake facing inland (East)

Elinee Bay on Paw Paw Lake, Coloma:  Exit 36 from I-94 onto Friday road to the (North), that changes to S Church Street and takes you thru Coloma downtown. It changes into N Paw Paw Street and then into Paw Paw Lake Rd.  Follow that road until it turns 90 degrees at the intersection of  Lakewood St (to the right), the road straight ahead is Center street and you can see the fire lane straight ahead. If you see “The Bend Bar”, your just about there.
