While strong winds did keep members of the MUD club off of Lake Michigan it didn’t prevent a dip in Lake 16.

Several of the MUD Divers made an early season trek to Diamond Lake in Cass County, Michigan for a dive on the steam ship wreck the South Bend.

Kirk, Jim K. and Darrin ventured up to Lake 16 to check out the water. They lucked into a nice day with the surface water temp in the 50's and the water temp at 80' was 39 degrees. Vis at the platform was around 20' and at depth was 5-8' most of the time. A few select spot vis got down to 3'. This was Jim's first dive with his new dry suit gloves and they appeared to function as hoped.

With an essentially flat lake it was a great opportunity to do a little lake exploration and try to nail down the coordinates of an interesting lake structure that was dove last week.
